DEAR GOANS,

Parrikar dictates that Goa should have two airports, one in North and
another in the South Goa, perhaps he is giving a precedent to other Chief
Ministers of other states to have two or many airports and this way one
fine day India is going to have number of airports. Some other Chief
Minister after Parrikar may think of having another at West and East
airports and may be at Centre also. What a fun to have more than one
airport for such a tiny state of Goa if these Chief Ministers
starts dreaming?

Are we going to divide this Goa into two parts? One day we may have two
Chief Ministers, Two Chief Secretaries, and two Governors and so on. Having
Mopa is mainly in the interest of people who bought cheap plots and also to
gain for their own personal interest and of course for neighboring state
of Maharashtra. Mopa will definitely ruin Goa.

Goa is already finished with the land, as our farmers hardly have any field
left with for cultivation because we will be having various highway roads,
many bridges, already having many high rise building constructions, and
now planning for two airports? Where is the land for them for cultivation?
Goans are now completely dependent on migrants laborers. We cannot get a
single person to work in our houses as maid, labour for garden, labour for
construction, labour for field work, nannies to look after the new born
child etc and if we hire these migrants labour there are chances that they
may one day ransack our houses and take away what Goans have earned for
their living. No employment for Goans , No housing for Goans as outsiders
have already purchase plots, flats, and bungalows in Goa and these
population will further increase and Goans will have to work for these
outsiders and we will become migrants in our own land. One day we may have
a Non- Goan Chief Minister that will be our fate.

I came across many foreign tourists and I happened to ask them a question;
" why they like to come to Goa?" The answer was since Goa is a nice and
quite place they prefer to enjoy coming after they are tied of working in
their countries and Goa is good for holidays. But now they say, if Govt of
Goa is planning to have airport in Mopa, they will shift to other place
outside Pernem , Arambol , Kerim ( North Goa) on account of increase of
noise pollution level ( decibels) when hundreds of heavy flights
operating for 24 hours. One way I am happy that Russians tourists will
disappear from Goa who have already made a permanent shelter in North Goa
if at all Mopa co exist as per the dreams of Chief Minister Manohar
Parrikar.

Let us fight for only one existing airport and Dabolim should remain with
Goans. NO MOPA MR PARRIKAR.
