Grow your Business session at GIM with IWN Ladies
The CII IWN in Association with Goa Institute of Management (GIM) organized
an Awareness Session on "Grow your business- Finance for NON-FINANCIAL
MANAGERS" on Saturday, 18th October 2014 at Goa Institute of Management,
Ribandar Campus - Goa. The focus of the programme was to provide necessary
academic inputs on certain financial aspects of any micro/small / medium
business such as Understanding financial ratios and indices etc. Financial
Inputs etc for Non Financial Owners, there by empowering existing and
aspiring women entrepreneurs of Goa to make them successful in their
ventures.
The welcome address was given by Mr. K D Bhat Advisor- Continuing Executive
Education Programme, Mr. Parag Joshi,Vice Chairman, CII Goa State Council
gave the inaugural address and stated that "IWN is step towards bringing
about gender equality. It is a great Initiative for The Indian Women Network
of CII to be that engaging and effective Women's Motivational program to
create the biggest pool of women mentors, to help women as well as students
in careers via networking". He wished the women entrepreneurs' success in
the years ahead.
Ms. Parvish Andani Kamat, Chairperson, IWN Goa Chapter, "IWN is that one
platform that will provide Learning, Knowledge Enhancing Programs, Training
/ Skills, Mentorship & Opportunity Packed Networking" she said. She further
added "It's a positive environment of like minded Career Women &
Entrepreneurs to share experiences, overcome challenges and provide
solutions. IWN welcomes more women to join the online forum of IWN to voice
your ideas, opinions & concerns. She further talked about ' 100 Hours of
change Progranmme' where network will link up with successful women with
those who are just venturing out and want to contribute. Senior and mid
level women (IWN Members) will give 1 hour of time every month to mentor
others.
Prof Debu Sen, Prof. Ranbir Singh Sodhi and Prof. Neetant Shirodkar spoke
about concept of Accounting, Marketing etc
