Today is Prudent News channel?s 8th anniversary. After having set shop from
a small flat at Miramar, the Prudent Media has over the last eight years
moved from strength to strength. Under the current able stewardship of the
always gregarious Pramod Acharya, the very energetic, creative, and
cohesive Prudent team has unfailingly displayed very high levels of
professional ethics in its conduct and fair reporting.

The Prudent channel viewers get to watch extensive news coverage from
across Goa besides diversified programs on health, sports, culture, and the
rest. Pramod Acharya?s incisive interviews and brainstorming debates are
always enlightening. And with his thought provoking satire loaded program
?Just imagine? Paresh Parab is always the Man of the Match.

Today with voice of the opposition totally decimated and throttled both at
the Centre and in Goa, the Press has to play the much needed vital role in
acting as a vigilant watch-dog. Ironically Manohar Parrikar and Narendra
Modi, who both made maximum use of the media to ride to power, now want the
fourth estate to sit back by being a mute and passive spectator.

Former US Senator Christopher Dodd had said ?When the public's right to
know is threatened, and when the rights of free speech and free press are
at risk, all of the other liberties we hold dear are endangered?.

May Prudent Media continue to play its vibrant role and mission in
continuing to highlight issues that concern Goa and Goans.
