Mogal Carmen & Bernado,

Senhor TJ D'souza sitting on the voltare seem to think all is fine in Goa.

Hence Floriano where can your party policy educate this man and
others, please?

I reproduce what Santosh said on Xapotram:

Quote The problems that Goa faces today have nothing to do with India or
the Portuguese. They have nothing to do with invasion, colonialism,
liberation, independence, freedom fighters, democracy, religion,
intellectuals or lack thereof. The blame lies entirely with the people
of Goa. It boils down to basic honesty, integrity, concern for fellow
human beings, and respect for our heritage and natural environment,
all attributes that reside within the individual.

Those who are blaming others and finding excuses of one sort or another
are themselves part of the problem in the first place.

Cheers,

Santosh Unquote.

The likes of Santoshi Helekar are clueless to the situation of Goa. More
than two decades ago I was told by one Sarojini who used to work for a
large mining concern as to what was happening to Goa (open rape of mines
etc). This person was an outsider. She called us Goans stupid and naive.
50 years on we still continue being stupid and naive. Recently one
Falviano Dias a traitor who was behind the production of the dreaded BJP
VCD condones the invasion of 61 by saying (Prudent Media discussion)
that Goa had no electricity. I have travelled to Bombaim several times
in the seventies and eighties by bus. Most of the villages along the way
were dimlit (electricity) or used pontis. I am not to sure what this
donkey Dias is trying to compare. Clearly Bombaim was fully electrified
so were our cities in Goa.

I think Santosh is right up to a point, because one cannot entirely
dismiss the influence of historical events which in turn trigger all
kinds of social, economic and political developments which can be
overcome if well and intelligently managed with strong leadership with
vision.

Goa's tragedy is the fact that the quality of leadership and
politicians that came to power in Goa after 1961 was bad and became
gradually worse. How much lower this leadership will sink, entirely
depends on people in Goa.

Carmen & Bernado,

We are seen in the Diaspora as people on the keyboard! The Goans in Goa
do not want to know why we had to leave Goa after 1961. India on the
other hand knows the brain drain of Indians for U.S.

The only way is for each of us to convince our family and friends back
in Goa, who in turn to convince their friends - come next election our
people need to be made aware of the importance of votes.

There is a need to reach the grass roots. This exchange of e-mails will
remain "exchange" until people understand the value of their vote.

Next movement should be "PEOPLE AWARENESS" - Perhaps Goasuraj can do the
job next time.

VOTE FOR RIGHT PARTY WITHOUT BEING SMARTY.

Hi Oscar
The main issue now is not the actual voting, but voting for whom. Where
are the alternatives, the decent candidates with vision, guts and honesty?
