RINGLEMANN SERVED DEPORTATION NOTICE: Prime paedophile suspect Jorg Harry
Ringlemann, a German national, was nabbed by the Pernem police on August 9
and was served with a deportation order. Ringlemann, who had been referred
to widely in the 45-minute documentary produced by the weekly Tehelka
entitled 'Sin in Paradise', was picked up at 1.40 pm while had come to his

'DISSOLUTION BETTER CHOICE': In a virtual snub to attempts made to form a

on long leave pending a departmental inquiry in connection with the alleged
molestation of a student, the Porvorim police placed him under arrest on
August 9. He was later released on bail. The police gave the teacher's name

PANCHAYAT BYE-POLL RESULTS: Results of the bye-elections held on August 9 to
fill vacant posts in nine village panchayats are: Charudatta Panjikar

defeated Gurudas Kandolkar in Arpora-Nagoa, Mahanand Asnodkar got elected in

has stated that the fees charged by the institution are fixed by a committee
constituted by All India Council of technical education and are revised
every three years according to the norms.The students had been clearly

deposit of Rs.10,000 per student per year was to be adjusted against the fee
increase and would be refunded if it was in excess, as the committee was not

RINGLEMANN SERVED DEPORTATION NOTICE: Prime paedophile suspect Jorg Harry
Ringlemann, a German national, was nabbed by the Pernem police on August 9
and was served with a deportation order. Ringlemann, who had been referred
to widely in the 45-minute documentary produced by the weekly Tehelka
entitled 'Sin in Paradise', was picked up at 1.40 pm while had come to his

PANCHAYAT BYE-POLL RESULTS: Results of the bye-elections held on August 9

fill vacant posts in nine village panchayats are: Charudatta Panjikar

defeated Gurudas Kandolkar in Arpora-Nagoa, Mahanand Asnodkar got elected

Porvorim (Socorro), Devidas Naik defeated Rajanikant Naik in Rivona, Jose

in
Dramapur-Sirlim and Sulochana Gawas of Mauxi VP in Sattari were elected

COURTED ARREST: The freedom fighters along with their children took out a
morcha in the city on August 9 demanding jobs to their wards. The freedom
fighters children had served a 10-day ultimatum to state government on July

GOA DOES NOT OWE CENTRE ANY MONEY, SAYS PARRIKAR: The Goa government on
August 9 denied it owed Centre move than Rs.400 crore in loans it had taken

FOREIGNER HELD: A 42-year-old foreign national - John Chileke Paul Mbagwa -
has been arrested by the Anjuna police on charges of over-staying and for
failing to possess a valid passport. Anjuna police led by Lawrence D'Souza
rushed to Chapora on Sunday night and found John moving suspiciously. John
claimed he was a holder of dual citizenship of Nigeria and Liberia. (H)
CONCEICAO COLLEGE CLARIFIES: Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, Verna,
has stated that the fees charged by the institution are fixed by a
committee
constituted by All India Council of technical education and are revised
every three years according to the norms.The students had been clearly
informed at the time of admission during 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 that the
deposit of Rs.10,000 per student per year was to be adjusted against the
fee
increase and would be refunded if it was in excess, as the committee was
not
